Seoul, Korea - October 2013 : Korea-based CSM/Woongjin (Manufactures of CSM RO, NF, UF, MF membranes) has been awarded with a total capacity of 42MLD Kranji WRP (Singapore) Phase 2 & Phase 2 Further Extension. CSM’s unique Fouling Resistant Membrane (FRM) has been in use at this site since 2006 and 2007 respectively. The Plants have been running well since the initial installments of CSM’s 3rd Generation Fouling Resistant(FR) Reverse Osmosis(RO) Membranes. The warranty for membranes at this site was set at 5 years; however CSM membranes have performed beyond its duty.
Singapore’s PUB announced a tender to replace all the Phase 2 trains and including spares at the Kranji WRP, a total of 3,185 pieces of 8 inch RO membranes in January of 2013. CSM underwent stringent and tedious PUB’s evaluation process and were proudly chosen as the preferred choice of membrane supplier among many reputable brands from the perspectives of CAPEX and OPEX.
CSM will deliver an upgraded 5th Generation Fouling Resistant (FR) RO membranes which will be phased in at the Kranji site between October 2013 to 1st Quarter 2015. CSM will be supplying 34mil spacer instead of our standard proven 32mil spacer as per PUB’s request.
CSM/Woongjin has been in the water treatment membrane business since the mid ‘90s focusing on RO, NF, and MF products.
